Gallery Creation Process
Creating a gallery in PhotoProOS is straightforward. This guide covers all the options and best practices.
Starting a New Gallery
From the Dashboard
- Click the "New Gallery" button in the top right
- Or use the keyboard shortcut: Cmd/Ctrl + N
From the Galleries Page
- Navigate to Galleries in the sidebar
- Click "New Gallery"
Gallery Information
Required Fields
- Gallery Name - Visible to clients, make it descriptive
- Client - Select an existing client or create new
Optional Fields
- Description - Shown on the gallery page
- Internal Notes - Only visible to you
- Tags - For your organization
Photo Upload
Supported Formats
- JPEG/JPG (most common)
- PNG (for graphics with transparency)
- HEIC (converted automatically)
File Size Limits
- Individual files: Up to 50MB
- Total gallery: No limit (depends on plan)
- Recommended: 5-15MB for web-optimized photos
Upload Methods
Drag and Drop
Simply drag files or folders onto the upload area.
File Browser
Click "Browse" to open your file manager.
Lightroom Plugin (Coming Soon)
Export directly from Lightroom to PhotoProOS.
Gallery Settings
Visibility
- Draft - Only you can see it
- Private - Only people with the link
- Password Protected - Requires password to view
Downloads
- Enable Downloads - Allow photo downloads
- Download Quality - Original or web-sized
- Download Limit - Restrict number of downloads
Pricing
- Free - Immediate access
- Paid - Requires payment before downloads
Advanced Options
Cover Photo
The first photo becomes the cover by default. To change:
- Click any photo in the gallery
- Select "Set as Cover"
Photo Order
Photos upload in filename order. To reorder:
- Enable "Edit Mode"
- Drag photos to new positions
- Click "Save Order"
Expiration
Set galleries to expire automatically:
- Enable "Auto Expire"
- Choose expiration period
- Gallery becomes inaccessible after date
Creating the Gallery
Once everything is set:
- Review all settings
- Click "Create Gallery"
- Gallery is saved in Draft status
